We accept children starting at age 3½ in our Little Champions program. Classes are age-grouped so your child trains with peers at similar developmental stages.
No! BJJ will get you in shape. We welcome all fitness levels and our instructors know how to scale training appropriately. Many members start BJJ specifically to improve their fitness.
Gi training uses the traditional uniform (kimono) which allows grip-based techniques. No-Gi uses rashguards and shorts with faster-paced grappling. We teach both styles.
For beginners, 2-3 classes per week allows steady progress while giving your body time to adapt. More experienced students often train 4-6 times per week.
Wear comfortable athletic clothes (t-shirt and shorts or leggings). We provide loaner gis for your trial class. Bring water and an open mind!
