Who we are
CJJF Santa Monica (Caveirinha Jiu Jitsu Family Santa Monica, also known as MC Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Club), 320 Wilshire Blvd #101, Santa Monica, CA 90401. You can reach us at mcbjjsantamonica@gmail.com or (714) 872-1604.
What we collect
- When you call or email us: what you choose to tell us, such as your name, your contact details and the age and experience of whoever wants to train. We use it to answer you, book your free class and run your membership.
- When you visit the website: Google Analytics counts visits and how the pages are used: the pages viewed, the device and browser, an approximate location, and taps on our phone number and email address. It uses cookies to tell visits apart.
- Our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and browser types, to keep the site secure and running.
The website has no forms, accounts or mailing list, and it doesn’t ask for information about children.
Cookies and Google services
Google Analytics sets its own cookies. The maps on our home, contact and Westside pages come from Google Maps, which can set Google’s cookies when the map loads. Google explains what it does with this data in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
To stop Google Analytics, use Google’s opt-out browser add-on or block cookies in your browser. The site doesn’t change what it does when a browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal.
How we use it
To answer your questions, book classes and run memberships; to see which pages help visitors, so we can improve them; and to keep the site secure. We don’t sell or rent your information.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the site: Google (Analytics and Maps) and our web host. We share information with anyone else only if the law requires it.
Other sites and AI assistants
Links to Instagram, our Google reviews, the sources in our guides and the AI assistants in the Ask AI box open other services, each with its own privacy policy. When you use the Ask AI box, your question goes to the AI service you choose, not to us.
Children
The website is for parents and adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through it; parents sign their children up with us by phone, by email or at the academy.
How long we keep it
We keep messages and membership records while you train with us and for as long as we need them for our records. Google Analytics keeps its data for the period set in our account.
Your choices
You can ask what information we have about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, at mcbjjsantamonica@gmail.com or (714) 872-1604. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update this page and the effective date at the top.
